These past 3 months, have enjoyed a steady flow of adventuring friends through the lovely Wallace cabin perched up here in the Rockies. They arrived by means varying from foot to adventure-mobiles.
Making time for several excursions, including the stunning Maroon Bells 4 Pass Loop and a triumphant return to Goose Creek Trail loop, a write up of which I will post later.
Then, of course, all the other summer fun to be had!
Balancing the social hours with preparations for the upcoming Odyssey.
Daily planning, organizing, writing and lining up talks, packing, map reading, and finally, reaching out.
Tides begin to turn. The weight of activating this plan settles in.
10 days out from concluding 4 years of professional and community growth with the Family & Intercultural Resource Center.
2 weeks from moving out and taking to the road for a launch tour across the US to visit you guys.
Money I’ve been saving up the past 5 years begins to trickle away.
Plane tickets, gear, shots and vaccines, etc.
Vague notions and ambitions take form and sprout legs. At the moment a task becomes too heavy, or find myself spinning circles, a friend steps forward.
Already relearning fundamental lessons. Ask for the help you need.
A team is developing, broadening the parameters of potential good.
